Academic department
Aiming at academic excellence in the training of professional ophthalmologists who are focusing on community health.
The Academic Department of Fundación Visión and the Catholic University “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” signed an agreement of academic cooperation last Thursday, March 26th.
This opens a door to opportunities in which both institutions can share scientific knowledge and experience. This action will enhance the courses, workshops and seminars organized by the Foundation. These activities will be adapted to the academic program and articles of the Catholic University. As a result of this initiative, the professionals and students of medicine and other degree programs that participate in the trainings of the Department of Residency will receive their diplomas with the stamp of both institutions.
The agreement signed by both institutions highlights important points such as the commitment taken on by the Medical Department of the Catholic University in sponsoring the ophthalmology residency program of Fundación Visión. At the same time, this renowned educational institution takes on the support of the post-residency specialization programs in ophthalmology developed by Fundación Visión.
The agreement also opens up new opportunities for doctors in the branch of ophthalmology, who will be able to become qualified in diverse areas and specializations. The doctors will be able to have their degrees ratified by the administrations of both institutions. This step is a new challenge that we have faced in our constant pursuit of excellence.
